AIBOU: Tokyo Detective Duo (2002)

Detective Ukyo Sugishita tackles crime with a strong moral compass and a series of diverse partners from the Special Task Unit. Initially paired with the earnest but temperamental Kaoru Kameyama for seven seasons, Ukyo's dynamic shifts in Season 8 when he teams up with the self-assured Takeru Kanbe. The partnership evolves again in Seasons 11 to 13 with the ambitious Toru Kai, the son of a high-ranking police official who proves his worth as a detective. Currently, Ukyo is joined by Wataru Kaburagi, a temporary recruit from the bureaucratic ranks, bringing a fresh perspective to their challenging investigations.
