A governing council, representing the Earth Alliance, Minbari Federation, Centauri Republic, Narn Regime, and Vorlon Empire, collaborates with the League of Non-Aligned Worlds to manage interstellar relations. Beyond diplomacy, Babylon 5 functions as a military outpost and a bustling hub for travelers, traders, and various characters, including criminals and Rangers.
