Chasing the Undercurrent (2022)

Chang Zheng, the deputy captain of the criminal police brigade, is deep into a shooting investigation at a suburban villa, where he apprehends the suspect, Zhao Pengxiang. As the second son of the Zhao family, Zhao Pengxiang, an inspector, finds himself entangled in the aftermath of his brother Zhao Pengcheng's death, leading him to become a fugitive. Supported by a covert task force from the Ministry of Public Security, Chang Zheng navigates familial and personal conflicts while uncovering his true identity. Ultimately, he chooses justice over personal ties and collaborates with the task force to bring the criminal to justice.
