This Thriving Land (2025)

On the day of her wedding, Ning Xiuxiu, the heiress of Tianqiang Temple Village, is abducted by bandits. Her father, however, declines to pay the ransom and opts to wed her sister to Xiuxiu’s childhood love instead. In a bold move, Xiuxiu severs her connections with her family and chooses to marry farmer Feng Dajiao, discovering the importance of land and solidarity within the community. Motivated by revolutionary thoughts, she encourages the women of the village to confront outdated traditions and takes the lead in fighting against banditry and the encroachment of Japanese forces.
