Rolie Polie Olie (1998)

*Rolie Polie Olie* is a children’s show from Nelvana, distributed by Disney, and created by William Joyce, Maggie Swanson, and Anne Wood. It follows a little roly-poly character built from spheres and other 3D shapes. As one of the first fully CGI-animated series—and the first CGI preschool show—it now airs in reruns on Disney Junior. The series won a Gemini Award for Best Animated Program in 1999, and Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Special Class Animated Program in 2000 and 2005. William Joyce also earned a 1999 Daytime Emmy for Best Production Design. The show blends a 1950s and early 1960s vintage feel with futuristic touches.
