Set in a world ravaged by the demonic Kishin during the Warring States period, the story unfolds 150 years later with the emergence of Bushi bands fighting for freedom. Childhood friends Musashi and Kojiro, inspired by tales from Kojiro's father, aspire to create the ultimate Bushi band. When Musashi witnesses the horrifying destruction wrought by the oni, he confronts the grim reality of their existence.
