The Patchwork Girl of Oz (1914)

Ojo and his guardian, Unc Nunkie, face hunger and set off for the Emerald City, where food is abundant. Their adventure leads them to Mewel, a stray mule, who introduces them to Dr. Pipt, a wizard diligently working with the powder of life. After Ojo enhances Margolotte's Patchwork servant with extra brains, she springs to life as Scraps. However, her arrival inadvertently splashes the petrification liquid on Unc Nunkie, Margolotte, and Jesseva's boyfriend, Danx. The group splits up to gather the necessary ingredients for a cure, embarking on their own quests.
