Toby and his sister Liz share their home with their aunt and uncle, who welcome a Cambodian orphan named Hoang as he waits for a foster family. Quickly bonding, the trio embarks on adventures in a nearby forest, where they stumble upon a retired engineer residing in an old freight car.
