After the unexpected loss of her parents, Anna moves from New York to a quaint Florida town to stay with a grandmother she has never known. Feeling lonely and vulnerable, she briefly connects with two local teenagers. However, when she unwittingly participates in their horrific act of violence, Anna becomes entangled with Mr. Sandman—a sinister spirit of a troubled child who invades the dreams of bullies before devouring their eyes upon awakening.
