Shari (2021)

In the winter of 2020, the Shiretoko Peninsula, located in Japan's northernmost region, experiences an unusual lack of snow, and the customary drift ice is absent as well. Concerned about the unusual weather, the residents of Shari carry on with their routines. A shepherd bakes fresh buns, a hunter cooks a venison meal, a fisherman cleans up debris from the ocean, and another villager enjoys watching flying squirrels in her garden. Life continues, albeit under the shadow of uncertainty.
