River (2016)

Set against the backdrop of southern Laos, an American volunteer doctor finds himself on the run after bravely stepping in to stop the assault of a young woman. His act of heroism takes a dark turn when the body of the assailant is discovered in the Mekong River. As the situation escalates, the doctor must navigate a treacherous landscape of fear and moral dilemmas, forcing him to confront the consequences of his actions in a world where justice is often elusive.
