Kate Gorman
Kate Gorman is an Australian actress and filmmaker whose career spans television, film, and theatre across Australia and the United Kingdom. Born into a family of performers—her father is actor Reg Gorman and her mother is actress Judith Roberts—she is also the mother of actress Olivia Deeble.
Gorman made her television debut at just six years old on *The Sullivans* (1976), where her father played Jack Fletcher. Family collaborations became a hallmark of her early career: she and Reg portrayed father and daughter in *A Cry in the Dark* (1988), and she appeared alongside both her mother and sister in the stage production of *Seven Little Australians*. By age 15, she was working full-time in television, securing the lead role in the series *Zoo Family* (1985).
Later transitioning to directing, Gorman wrote and directed her first feature film, *Five Moments of Infidelity* (2006). The film earned her widespread recognition, winning Best Film at the DIGI SPAA Awards and the Critics' Choice Award at the Salento Film Festival in Italy. Her work continues to reflect a deep commitment to storytelling across multiple mediums.
