Shari Solanis

Shari Solanis, an American actress, was born on December 13, 1977, in Pennsylvania. Raised in a Jewish neighborhood of Philadelphia, Shari was nurtured by her mother and stepfather, while maintaining a close relationship with her father, a Vietnam veteran.

From a young age, Shari showed a deep appreciation for the arts, with a particular love for music. At just 12 years old, she joined a girls' choir, and during her teenage years, she developed a passion for acting. She graduated from the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts, which laid the groundwork for her future career.

After completing her high school education, Shari relocated to New York City to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. There, she made her mark in the theater scene, notably starring as Alissa Cruz in the musical "Mister," alongside Anthony Rapp, in collaboration with the New York Theater Workshop. Alongside her theater work, Shari made appearances on television and in film.

Seeking greater opportunities, Shari moved to Los Angeles to further her aspirations in acting and singing. After numerous auditions for typical Hollywood roles, she landed the pivotal part of Angela in Philippe Diaz's 2007 film "Now & Later." Her performance was noted by the New York Times for its flexibility and charisma, highlighting her ability to navigate her role alongside a less experienced co-star with confidence and poise.
