Janice Koh Yu-Mei is an esteemed actress known for her impactful contributions to both stage and screen. Her journey in the performing arts commenced at Victoria Junior College, where she participated in the Theatre Studies and Drama 'A'-level programme. She later earned an Honours degree in Theatre Studies from the National University of Singapore. In 1996, Koh furthered her education with a Master's degree with Distinction in Theatre Administration from Goldsmith's College, University of London, supported by a Public Service Commission Scholarship.

Koh gained widespread recognition for her compelling portrayal of Angela Ang, an ambitious lawyer, in the acclaimed Channel 5 legal drama The Pupil. Her performance earned her a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role at the Asian Television Awards in 2010, followed by a nomination for Actress of the Year 2011 by Elle Magazine for the show's second season. Her television repertoire includes roles in popular series such as Zero Calling, C.L.I.F., and The Diary of Amos Lee, as well as hosting Channel News Asia's documentary series, The Art of Conversation.

In film, Janice showcased her talent in Ken Kwek's Unlucky Plaza, Hitman: Agent 47, and the highly anticipated Crazy Rich Asians, set for release in August 2018. A prominent figure in Singapore's theatre community, she has performed in over 50 productions, receiving the Life! Theatre Award for Best Actress in 2003 for her role in Proof. Koh's recent stage work includes performances in productions such as The Father, Hand to God, and Beauty World, along with touring internationally to prestigious venues and festivals across Europe and Asia.
