He first gained widespread attention for his role as Ouyang Feng in the 2003 television adaptation of *The Legend of the Condor Heroes*, a performance that showcased his ability to portray complex, morally ambiguous characters. He later appeared in *The Return of the Condor Heroes* (2006), further solidifying his reputation in the wuxia genre.
