Charlie Simonds
After graduating from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1962, Charlie Simonds received a commission into the Parachute Regiment, serving with distinction in the Middle East. He rose to the rank of captain before retiring from active duty after eight years, subsequently embarking on a lengthy career as a flying instructor.
A lifelong advocate of naturism, Charlie then transitioned into an internationally celebrated photographer and film producer specializing in the naturist lifestyle. His evocative writing and imagery have graced numerous naturist publications worldwide. Over the past 33 years, his photographs have appeared on 214 magazine covers, with an impressive 146 of those featured on the cover of *H&E naturist* alone.
Through his company, Parafotos, Charlie has produced 64 films documenting naturism and naturist resorts across the globe. His lens has captured destinations in the UK, USA, France, Greece, Spain, the Canary Islands, the Balearics, Turkey, Portugal, Croatia, and the Caribbean, cementing his legacy as a leading figure in naturist media.
