Luciano Tovoli
Luciano Tovoli, born on October 30, 1936, is an esteemed Italian cinematographer and filmmaker whose extensive career has spanned more than fifty years. Renowned as one of Italy's leading cinematographers, Tovoli has collaborated with a multitude of distinguished directors, including Michelangelo Antonioni, Dario Argento, and Andrei Tarkovsky, solidifying his reputation in the film industry.
Among his most notable works are visually stunning films such as The Passenger (1975) and the horror classic Suspiria (1977), as well as the adaptation of Shakespeare's play in Titus (1999). Tovoli has also enjoyed a long-standing partnership with Barbet Schroeder, contributing his cinematographic expertise to films like Reversal of Fortune (1990), Single White Female (1992), Before and After (1996), Murder by Numbers (2002), and Inju: The Beast in the Shadow (2008).
