Jahmaal Noel Fyffe, known professionally as Chip (formerly Chipmunk), was born on 26 November 1990 in Tottenham, London. Over a career spanning more than fourteen years, he has worked with a wide range of artists, including Skepta, T.I., Meek Mill, and Young Adz.

Chip first rose to prominence in 2009 with his debut album, *I Am Chipmunk*, which produced four top-ten hits on the UK Singles Chart. Among them was the number-one single "Oopsy Daisy." In 2011, he released his second album, *Transition*, which leaned into American hip-hop influences. Its lead single, "Champion," featuring Chris Brown, reached number two on the UK Singles Chart.

In 2012, Chip relocated to Atlanta and signed with T.I.'s Grand Hustle Records. On Christmas Day of that year, he released "London Boy," a track featuring Meek Mill, Skepta, and Movado, among others.

After returning to the UK, Chip became known for a year-long rap feud that helped cement his reputation and gave rise to his recurring line, "Chip Can't Run Out Of Bars." Since then, he has released six more projects, most recently *Insomnia*, a collaborative album with Skepta and Young Adz.
