Juan Felipe Muñoz
Juan Felipe Muñoz Posso (February 16, 1982 – November 7, 2024) was a Colombian actor and director whose work spanned theater and television. Born in Bogotá, he trained at the Teatro Nacional de Colombia before honing his skills in theatrical improvisation in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Muñoz began his on-screen career with a guest role on the series *Padres e hijos*, later appearing in productions such as *El Bronx*, *Alias JJ*, and *Bloque de búsqueda*. His most notable performance came in the 2023 docuseries *Garavito: La bestia serial*, directed by José Ángel Montiel and produced by Warner Bros and Caracol Televisión. In this project, Muñoz portrayed Luis Alfredo Garavito, one of history’s most notorious serial killers and child rapists. His physical transformation and nuanced performance earned significant critical acclaim, and the series became his final work. Beyond acting, Muñoz was recognized as an acting coach with the company Gimnasio Actoral.
On November 7, 2024, Muñoz was found deceased at his home in Bogotá at age 42. The cause of death was not disclosed.
